Creative izakaya-style dishes paired with exceptionally friendly service. The restaurant is always bustling, lively, and a little noisy, creating a great atmosphere. Many of the dishes are original creations with unique twists you won’t find elsewhere. Hamachi with Ponzu – Creamy, bright, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of citrus and saltiness. Soft Shell Crab – Crispy fried soft-shell crab stuffed with cheese, served with a soy-marinated egg yolk for dipping. Rich, crunchy, indulgent, and beautifully presented. A must-try is the Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll wrapped in crispy seaweed—simple but incredibly satisfying. Yakitori Chicken Skewer – Crispy skin, perfectly cooked, juicy on the inside, and infused with a wonderful charcoal aroma. Easily one of the best I’ve had. ~ Saharath C

I rarely review any place here, but this spot truly deserves some love and hype! A new place in the Silom area, and I’m so glad we chose it for a Friday catch-up! We ordered almost 10 dishes, and not a single one disappointed us! The food was served in generous portions, and the flavours were perfectly balanced. It was an amazing experience, and our server, K.Meena if I’m not mistaken, was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this spot to others and will certainly visit again! 💖 ~ Oranisa K

Kizaru is the exact type of izakaya I’ve been looking for in Bangkok. What sold the deal for me, besides the stylish design, attentive staff, and historic location, was the incredibly delicious, modern, and still undeniably Japanese dishes. That’s a tight rope to walk and I think it’s been executed perfectly. A final note, since I can’t stop thinking about it, the soft shell crab dish was easily one of the best bites I’ve had in the last year. I’ll be back soon! ~ Ryan P

What a great place to have a classy drink and bite at the end of PhatPhong! Delicious seafood, colorful and vibrant dishes perfect for sharing bites. The tuna with avocado was fresh and well seasoned, the salmon sashimi was smooth and silky, the prawn toast was perfect to wash down with a lemon chuhi cocktail. The service was fantastic, welcoming you at the door. They also had a delicious ice cream and sake dessert. Good selection of sake as well. Will be back! ~ Anita

Kizaru just opened mid-last month and is already setting the bar dangerously high. If menu paralysis hits, just order the omakase! It’s ridiculously delicious and gave me instant nostalgia for my favorite ramen spot back when I lived in the Netherlands. Plus, kitchen speed is lightning-fast and perfectly timed; we sat down at 5:30 PM and had crushed all the savory courses by 6:10 PM! The whole place is an absolute vibe. Everyone is so cheerful without being extra, and the manager was literally low-key grooving to the music. You can tell they care about the details, too, all the dishes, bowls, glasses, and containers are gorgeous and mostly imported straight from Japan. Our servers, Mina and the tall skinny guy, were goddamn attentive and sweet. When we mentioned how much we loved the bowls and wanted to buy one, they straight-up gifted us theirs to take home. What an actual experience! To make it even better, the manager came over, poured us free shots of sake, and took a shot with us. The ultimate peak moment, though? My boyfriend validated our parking ticket and then immediately managed to lose it. When he went to check, two employees jumped right in and came outside to help us search. Damn top-level service! Unmatched hospitality, immaculate energy so we’re coming back again for sure!! No questions asked. ~ Waew K
