Creative izakaya-style dishes paired with exceptionally friendly service. The restaurant is always bustling, lively, and a little noisy, creating a great atmosphere. Many of the dishes are original creations with unique twists you won’t find elsewhere.
Hamachi with Ponzu – Creamy, bright, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of citrus and saltiness.
Soft Shell Crab – Crispy fried soft-shell crab stuffed with cheese, served with a soy-marinated egg yolk for dipping. Rich, crunchy, indulgent, and beautifully presented.
A must-try is the Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll wrapped in crispy seaweed—simple but incredibly satisfying.
Yakitori Chicken Skewer – Crispy skin, perfectly cooked, juicy on the inside, and infused with a wonderful charcoal aroma. Easily one of the best I’ve had.

Extrem freundliches und überzeugendes Team. Die Gerichte sind kreativ und kompetent. Die mit Blauschimmelkäsemousse gefüllte Softshell-Krabe hat es mir angetan. Die Ochsenzunge mit Pomelo war mega. Die Hähnchen-Yakitori überdurchschnittlich gut da das Fleisch saftig blieb. Die restlichen Gerichte waren ebenso top. Der Sake sowie Whiskey Highball waren super! Als Familie mit 3 Kids haben wir uns in diesem tollen Ambiente kurz wie in Japan fühlen dürfen. Danke.

I rarely review any place here, but this spot truly deserves some love and hype! A new place in the Silom area, and I’m so glad we chose it for a Friday catch-up! We ordered almost 10 dishes, and not a single one disappointed us! The food was served in generous portions, and the flavours were perfectly balanced. It was an amazing experience, and our server, K.Meena if I’m not mistaken, was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this spot to others and will certainly visit again! 💖

Kizaru is the exact type of izakaya I’ve been looking for in Bangkok. What sold the deal for me, besides the stylish design, attentive staff, and historic location, was the incredibly delicious, modern, and still undeniably Japanese dishes. That’s a tight rope to walk and I think it’s been executed perfectly. A final note, since I can’t stop thinking about it, the soft shell crab dish was easily one of the best bites I’ve had in the last year. I’ll be back soon!

What a great place to have a classy drink and bite at the end of PhatPhong! Delicious seafood, colorful and vibrant dishes perfect for sharing bites. The tuna with avocado was fresh and well seasoned, the salmon sashimi was smooth and silky, the prawn toast was perfect to wash down with a lemon chuhi cocktail. The service was fantastic, welcoming you at the door. They also had a delicious ice cream and sake dessert. Good selection of sake as well. Will be back!

Randomly found this restaurant very close to our hotel and decided to give them a try.
Already put this restaurant on my favourite list. The owner was super friendly and attentive. The staff were very nice and knowledgeble about their food and beverages. We enjoyed every bite.
The only consideration could be the level of noise, but yes you shouldn't expect calm and silent atmosphere from an izakaya restaurant.
Will definitely go back.

This place is such a hidden gem! ✨ I came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday today and was really impressed. All the staff were super lovely, friendly, and welcoming especially K.Meena, K.Cake, K.Pang, K.Nutty, K.Oh, K.Gill, and K.Bomb K.Off. 🫶🏻
The food was delicious, the vibe was amazing, and they even had sake to entertain the guests. Such a fun and memorable birthday experience. Definitely a place worth discovering! 🥂✨

Amazing food especially the river shrimp, can have all day long, and the quality is superb. Staff super friendly and attentive, always with a smile on. Cake and Mina made the experience even more memorable.
Food is moder japanese, I've traveled many times in Japan and this place is a fun take on japanese dishes with a modern approach, made it more interesting.
Will definitely be back for more, aiming to try the whole menu.

Kizaru offers a fresh, elevated take on late-night Tokyo izakaya culture in Bangkok. The atmosphere is inviting with warm lighting, wood accents, and a stylish Japanese aesthetic. Great vibes, top-tier ingredients, and excellent execution. Ideal for sharing dishes over drinks with friends. Will definitely be returning! Very recommended!!

Just had at the most amazing meal at the Japanese restaurant, Kizaru on Surawong. The food and service was amazing. So were the two sakes I shared with the staff. Highlight was soft shell crab stuffed with Parmesan and cream cheese in this sauce mixed with an egg yolk. It was a flavour explosion. So great. I was walking past, it was raining, that looks nice. Highly recommend if you’re in Bangkok.

Since walking in I feel the hospitality, the ambiance is beautiful, the energy of the staffs are great. Especially Pea and Paeng! Their drinks are great. Lots of sake to choose from. The food is amazing, love the tofu, the crab udon and especially the chef Mike is super nice. Love the music too! Definitely coming back. <3

I’ve been here twice now because I absolutely love the food! Everything is delicious, and the staff are always so attentive and welcoming. A special shoutout to “Mina” who is such a lovely and wonderful staff member. She really made my experience even better! Highly recommended! 🤍

Great vibe! A hidden gem in Silom! Amidst the busy streets, it’s such a chill spot with a beautiful interior, great food, and lovely staff. My favorite dish so far is the akami tuna. Definitely coming back to try more!

Kizaru just opened mid-last month and is already setting the bar dangerously high. If menu paralysis hits, just order the omakase! It’s ridiculously delicious and gave me instant nostalgia for my favorite ramen spot back when I lived in the Netherlands. Plus, kitchen speed is lightning-fast and perfectly timed; we sat down at 5:30 PM and had crushed all the savory courses by 6:10 PM!
The whole place is an absolute vibe. Everyone is so cheerful without being extra, and the manager was literally low-key grooving to the music. You can tell they care about the details, too, all the dishes, bowls, glasses, and containers are gorgeous and mostly imported straight from Japan.
Our servers, Mina and the tall skinny guy, were goddamn attentive and sweet. When we mentioned how much we loved the bowls and wanted to buy one, they straight-up gifted us theirs to take home. What an actual experience! To make it even better, the manager came over, poured us free shots of sake, and took a shot with us.
The ultimate peak moment, though? My boyfriend validated our parking ticket and then immediately managed to lose it. When he went to check, two employees jumped right in and came outside to help us search. Damn top-level service! Unmatched hospitality, immaculate energy so we’re coming back again for sure!! No questions asked.

New izakaya with a fun atmosphere and really friendly staff. The food felt a more polished than the usual izakaya, and we especially liked the pork katsu and wagyu kamameshi. A nice spot for drinks and dinner around Surawong.
